Finally, something

Ok, I know this isn't something abandoned or forgotten than anyone cares to see, but it's getting me going on this blog again. It is abandoned farm equipment that's forgotten, if that counts lol. This wild turkey hen is hanging around my in-laws tree grove.

Memory in the making?

Last weekend I drove through the town of Washburn because I wanted a photo of the big courthouse. On the backside of the courthouse is this building. It's the county jail. How coincidental that a couple nights later the news reported about this jail and how it may have to be replaced since it's so old. Glad I got a photo of it while it's still around!

Schoolhouse 2

Here's another schoolhouse, but this one is waaayyy in the middle of no where. I happened upon it while aimlessly driving. It stood at a T in the road, not many residents living in the area. I imagine this was one of those schools that Grandma or Grandpa walked 5 miles uphill in 3 feet of snow both to and from school.
