Here's another schoolhouse, but this one is waaayyy in the middle of no where. I happened upon it while aimlessly driving. It stood at a T in the road, not many residents living in the area. I imagine this was one of those schools that Grandma or Grandpa walked 5 miles uphill in 3 feet of snow both to and from school.
The day I was out and got the train pic I also got these of a little cemetary in the middle of what is nowhere now. Evidently not a forgotten place for some, some of the burials were fairly recent in just the last couple years. And it was all well taken care of.
On a trip through the countryside I stopped to take a photo of a train just coming across an old steel bridge. I can't wait for the land to be this green again! We're having a very brown winter.
Dotted across the countryside you will find these vacant old schoolhouses. Some are well kept up, like this one, and some are run down. I don't have any info on this particular one, but I'd be willing to search if anyone is interested.
One day I was out driving around while my son slept in the back seat. This flock of turkeys was walking along someone's entry road to their farm. This is the best shot I got as most of them were walking away from me. There were more than you see in the picture, it was quite a large flock.
If you ask me, I'm 35 years old, although I've been that more than a few years now. Looking for the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything - perhaps it really is 42.
